Under the guidance of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, the intern will perform and be exposed to all facets of Golf Course Management.Responsibilities include operating utility vehicles and assorted maintenance equipment (riding lawn mowers, carts, tractors, etc.), raking grounds, shoveling, operating hand tools (such as chainsaws, string trimmers, rotary mowers, walking greensmowers, etc.) watering trees, shrubs, and turf. Interns will be expected to assist in application of pesticides and fertilizers to turf areas, as well as sprayer and spreader calibration. Interns are also expected to assist in irrigation repair and maintenance.

This is an overnight position. Qualified candidate must be able to work under limited supervision. Maintain assets inside and outside of guest rooms and common areas (including mechanical rooms, kitchen, HVAC, etc). Ensure all areas are safe for guests and employees usage. Perform daily rounds-check boilers, pools, common areas, sprinkler systems, fire pump room, fire panels. Attend to any work orders, guest requests, housekeeping requests, front desk requests, room calls. Maintain all Facilities and Operating Systems in a safe and efficient working order (ie. Auto doors, exit doorways, required snow/ garbage removal).
Work with outside contractors to provide necessary improvements or maintenance as directed.
Maintain records of all work activities and support materials. Provide written reports to other departments as needed. Provide for safe disposal of all waste material.
Maintain tools and work area in safe, secure and efficient manner. Work with other departments when directed. Assist with preventative maintenance in common areas and guest rooms.
High School Diploma, Tech or Trade School. Valid CO. License. Ability to Read, Write, and Speak English. Willing to work with changing shift schedules.
Must have 3-4 years experience or certifications. Will require lifting of 20lbs or more
May require lifting arms above head and shoulders to work in ceiling (i.e. small leaks, electrical shorts, replace motors). Plumbing skills/experience required.
